We're thrilled to welcome Kim Fifield Art as our special guest!

Kim is a Bay of Plenty-based multidisciplinary visual artist whose curiosity and thirst for understanding drives her to experiment and create. Her practice spans a wide range of media – fine art, children's book illustration, graphics, and beyond – she's always exploring new creative territory.

Her current work is fascinating – exploring ecology, material transformation, and the hidden knowledge carried by overlooked materials. Think cultivated root systems, algae-based bioplastics, biomatter, and discarded publications. Kim treats her materials as active collaborators, not passive mediums.

Kim's practice weaves together women's labour, domestic and ecological knowledge, waste, bodies, and the fragile relationship between human and non-human life.

You might know Kim from Matter Gallery in the Mount, or from her time at The Incubator's Villa Studios. Lately? She's been making objects from kitchen compost. Yes, really. 🌱

Come along, hear what Kim's been up to, share your own work, and connect with fellow artists in Tauranga Moana.

We hope you have this in your diaries!

πŸ‘‰ All welcome - pre-register now (https://tinyurl.com/353juvz4)or just turn up – EFTPOS available on the day.

See you tomorrow! 🎨✨

This isn't just a tea tasting. It's a tea tasting that quietly becomes a meditation.

There is a reason the ancients said 'Zen is Tea.' It’s in the way the leaves unfurl, the steam rises, the body warms and the mind quiets.

This Sunday, join Zoe Zhaozishan, a curator of scent, culture and calm - for a Chinese Tea Ceremony. Traverse the spectrum of Chinese tea: the floral lift of Jasmine, the roasted complexity of Oolong, and the grounding history of Pu-erh.

To all those dreamers that want to spend their days bird watching and feeding the birds in their garden - boy, do we have the workshop for you! Not only can we help you make that dream a reality, we can help you handcraft and hand paint the bird feeder that makes your garden the local hotspot.

Gourd Bird Feeder Workshop
With Andy Scott

Andy has been growing gourds on his own property since 2005, and he brings along gourds that are already dried, cleaned, and ready to transform. All you need to bring is a spark of an idea - bold, whimsical, or beautifully simple. Andy is more than happy to help cut the holes, but if you're feeling adventurous, he’ll show you how to do it yourself.

Play with texture, explore your creativity and create a beautiful artwork in this vibrant and social Textured Art Painting workshop.

Explore textured painting, a technique where paint is mixed and applied in thicker layers to create depth on the canvas. Instead of focusing on perfect brushstrokes, it’s about playing with shapes and movement. It’s surprisingly freeing and a lot of fun!
