HELP US FURNISH OUR NEW SUPPORTING/OFFICE SPACES …
We recently decided that our supporting rooms needed renovating after being open now for 12 years and connecting with 1500+ women in the past 12 months alone via either our 0800 number/online chat or as a walk-in to our centre here in Tauranga, to give them information and support around an unplanned pregnancy. We want to provide a welcoming but also professional and modern space where women will feel comfortable to come and talk.
We are keeping one room as a supporting room and turning one into an office space to take calls and online chats.
We have completed the painting and carpet through some generous donations of time and products, and now we need to furnish these rooms and are asking for your help!
If you would like to help us by donating financially towards this next step please click this link
https://www.pregnancychoice.org.nz/donate and put 'renovations' in the reference.
(If you provide us with your email, we can send you a tax certificate).
We are going for a certain look that we feel will be conducive to this space and will last us well into the future so are wanting to buy the following things new ......
2 x office desks ($199 each)
2 x office chairs ($309 each)
2-seater couch ($1500)
2 arm chairs (unknown at this point)
1 x filing cabinet/lockable drawer ($309)
1x cupboard ($129)
And then other furnishings such as plants, shelves, small table, brochure holder, possibly room dividers, pictures for the wall and other small office furnishings.
Thank you for supporting us as we support our community both with our Opp shop and koha shop and also the women of Tauranga and Aotearoa nationally with our phone and chat service.

You deserve to heal💚
If you are struggling with post abortion grief and loss, or you may know someone that is, please reach out to us - either via messenger or [email protected]
Buttons Project and Haven Pregnancy Support have joined together to bring you the Living in Colour healing and recovery programme, for women who have experienced abortion. This is being run in Auckland, and we hope to have a men's programme running soon.
Abortion-related grief remains something of a taboo topic in society, making it difficult to process the emotional impact it can have on us, and hard to find a sense of closure. The unresolved loss can show up in many ways, including depression, anger, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and substance abuse. Sometimes, it does not surface until decades later.
Living in Colour has been used successfully in many countries around the world. It gently helps you process what was happening for you at the time, who was involved and the emotional impact of the decision. The final chapter of it celebrates the process of emerging from the “grey zone” of unresolved loss into a life of greater colour and freedom.
The 6-week programme begins on Tuesday 11th February at 7pm, via zoom. This will be followed by a one-day retreat, held in Auckland, on Saturday 22nd March.
There is a $35 cost for the programme, which covers the workbook manual and retreat day.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and embark on this journey of healing. I will be facilitating, and the one-day retreat at the end is a lovely special time.
