Kia ora from Country Kids.
It is Waitangi Day this Friday commemorating the signing of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) in 1840. A very important part of our nations heritage celebrating the founding document that governs our nation today.
Please enjoy and have a safe day off this coming Friday :)

Kia ora Whanau! We're looking forward to Athletics Day this Friday (weather permitting).
You'll find your child's Team Colour on a list in the foyer if they are attending. See you then!

The other week we finished our Matariki celebrations with cooked sausages on the fire pit (held in our sandpit due to bad weather) and fruit kebabs to incorporate our 'toasted marshmallows'. Each child added their own fruit to the kebabs and got to enjoy them at morning tea time, yum! Thank you to all the parents who came to support and spend time with their tamariki at preschool. We appreciated the extra hands! We hope you enjoyed your time.

Thank you to Lana who came in last week to show Big Bears how she makes her Kawakawa balm. Big Bears are always very excited to find out what's going on in the kitchen. They eagerly watched as she prepared the kawakawa with oil and heated up the beeswax on the stove. At the end our tamariki got to take home a small jar of freshly made Kawakawa balm. Thanks again Lana. At Country Kids we love it when a parent would like to share their giftings and talents with us.
