At Kiwi Treasures, we believe every child and whānau brings something special to our learning community. Celebrating different cultures and recognising important awareness days is part of how we create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
Through meaningful experiences, shared stories, and everyday practices, we support tamariki to develop respect, understanding, and a strong sense of belonging. Diversity is not just acknowledged here, it is celebrated.
Come and be part of a place where everyone is seen, valued, and included.

Big energy is always welcome here, we just know how to shape it with purpose.
This week our older tamariki arrived ready to move. Instead of stopping the running and noise, our kaiako transformed it into a structured Rippa Rugby game, complete with clear rules, boundaries and teamwork.
The result was powerful. Children practised self regulation, cooperation, strategic thinking and resilience, all while developing their gross motor skills. They negotiated rules, communicated with intention and experienced what it means to be part of a team.
Even one of our younger friends was drawn to the excitement, eagerly joining in from the sidelines and stepping onto the “field” to share his instructions. When learning is engaging and meaningful, children naturally want to be involved.
At our centre, we believe in intentional teaching. We don’t simply manage behaviour, we guide it. We create environments where children can move, lead, collaborate and thrive within safe, supportive boundaries.
If you’re looking for an early learning environment where energy is nurtured and learning is purposeful, we’d love to connect with you.
Are you needing childcare so you can study in 2026? We have limited full time spaces available. Come and visit us at 586 Fraser Street. You won’t be disappointed.

One of friends has been fascinated by volcanoes! 🌋 From spotting them on every hill to exploring books and visiting the library, his curiosity has inspired an amazing volcano project with his friends. Watch this space to see where their learning erupts next!
Nothing captures the joy of early childhood quite like a paint-covered slippery slide. Children dive into the experience with laughter, curiosity, and total freedom to explore. Vibrant colours mix and swirl under little hands and feet, turning movement into art and learning into pure delight. This messy, sensory play strengthens coordination, confidence, problem solving, and creativity while encouraging tamariki to take risks safely in their environment. As they slide, splatter, and share the fun with friends, they build connections and unforgettable memories. A paint slippery slide isn’t just an activity; it’s an explosion of wonder, excitement, and playful discovery today.

🎃 Our First Halloween Celebration at Kiwi Treasures 👻
What a fun and spooky day we had! The children looked amazing in their costumes and loved exploring all the Halloween-themed activities and sensory play. From creepy crawly hunts to pumpkin crafts, there were smiles and laughter all around.
It was such a joy to see everyone join in the spirit of the day — thank you to our tamariki, whānau, and kaiako for making our very first Halloween celebration one to remember! 🕷️🧡

With raumati (summer) on the way, our tamariki are thriving in the warmer weather. We’re noticing lots of kōrero hōhonu (in-depth conversations) and a growing sense of whanaungatanga (social connection and awareness) as they explore and play together. It’s such a joy to see their confidence and relationships blossom under the summer sun. 🌞✨
At Kiwi Treasures, we understand that all tamariki learn and grow in their own unique ways. Some may learn differently to others, and that’s something we celebrate. We make sure our experiences are flexible and responsive so every child feels supported, valued, and free to be themselves.
