✨ What a way to finish the term! ✨

Today we came together for our End of Term Awards Assembly, celebrating some of the awesome achievements of our tamariki. We were also treated to special performances from our two kapa haka rōpū, who represented our kura with pride! 🖤❤️

We handed out our Monty the Monster prizes and acknowledged many of the successes from across the term. A huge mihi to all of our whānau who came along to tautoko our tamariki today — we loved having you there!

It has been a huge term, but a very successful one, and we want to say a massive thank you to our dedicated staff, our amazing tauira, and our supportive whānau who make Gate Pā School such a special place. 🫶

Have a safe, happy and well-deserved holiday break! ☀️

📚 School starts back on Monday 12 October.

Enjoy the holidays, everyone — mā te wā! 👋

✨ SPOTLIGHT ON TERM 3 ✨

We’re throwing it back to one of our Term 3 highlights – our incredible Matariki Wearable Arts Showcase! 🌟

Each class was given a whetū of Matariki to inspire their creation, with tamariki working together to design and create wearable art using recycled and reusable materials. ♻️

The result was an awesome celebration of Matariki, creativity, kaitiakitanga and mahi tahi – and our tamariki absolutely shone! 🌟

Here are some of our favourite moments from a very special event. 📸

Ka mau te wehi, tamariki mā! 🖤💛

One final week of Term 3 before a well-earned two-week break!

19/09/2026

Kia ora e te whānau,

On Friday, we finished Te Wiki o te Reo Māori off with a bang as our tauira from Kōpūrererua took to the stage at Rā Whakangahau and performed with pride! 🌟

Their performance reflected not only the hard mahi they have put in over the term, but also their passion, dedication and commitment to kapa haka and te ao Māori.

Our tamariki were absolutely beautiful on stage, and we could not be prouder of the way they represented themselves and our kura. ❤️🖤

Ka rawe, tamariki mā! E whakahīhī ana mātou ki a koutou!
