Huge congratulations go out to Luke Jellett who completed his Shodan grading on Friday, successfully attaining his first-degree black belt and Sempai title. Luke smashed it (literally at times), and with the assistance of Uke and long-time training partner Dwane, treated us to a highly physical, quality display of his knowledge of the KRMA syllabus. We are very happy to welcome Sempai Luke to the Otumoetai Black Belt team🦅☯🐉

As every martial arts journey must begin at white belt, the test for yellow belt is a major first step along the Budo path, to self-improvement and warriorship. We have extra training sessions available for members this weekend, the first on Sat, 10am-12pm and the second on Sunday 10am – 12pm. Please make use of these sessions if you are able to, in order to be as prepared as possible for your grading 🦅☯️
