Our nurse Wai will be back at Merivale Community Centre this week, offering our usual nurse services.

As it’s Cervical Screening Month, there’ll be a special focus on HPV cervical screening. So if you’re due, overdue, have a few pātai, or just want to kōrero about your options, come down and see Wai. We’re here to make screening as easy and comfortable as possible for you.

Wāhine mā 💙

Cervical screening is an important way to look after your hauora! It checks for HPV, a really common virus that usually clears on its own, but sometimes it can hang around and cause changes to the cells in your cervix.

Regular screening can pick things up early, before they become more serious. And getting it done is easy as! For most people, it’s just a simple self-swab that you can do yourself, in private.

If you’re due or overdue for yours, pop in and see our Huria Trust clinic team. We’ll get you sorted.

Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday | 9.00am- 4.00pm

📣HE PĀNUI 📣

While AIMS Games is on and a school is based at the marae, our on-site Hauora Clinic will temporarily operate from a mobile clinic van this week. The van will be located across the road from the marae, in the corner carpark.

Our usual clinic team and services will continue as normal , we’re just working from a different space for the time being.

A HUUUUGE mihi to for lending us their mobile clinic and helping us continue providing hauora support to our whānau! We are so so grateful!

And finally, good luck to all the teams and everyone competing in AIMS Games this week! 🏆🙌

It’s Cervical Screening Month, e te iwi! 💙

For all our wāhine and people with a cervix, here's your little reminder to check when you last had your cervical screening.

Keeping up with your screening is one of those small things you can do to look after your hauora. It can pick up changes early, before they have the chance to develop into cervical cancer - and with the HPV self-test option, getting it done is now pretty quick, easy and private. So, if yours is due (or maybe a little overdue 👀), pop in and see our clinic team. We’ll get you sorted.

Monday–Friday | 9.00am–4.00pm
4 Te Kaponga Street, Brookfield

*We are closed Tuesday 1st September, but are back open and operating normally from Wednesday 2nd September

Influenza has been making the rounds across the country lately, and cases are on the rise! So, if you or your whānau are feeling a bit māuiui and the bugs have hit your whare, pop in and see our nurses. They can help with your symptoms, have a kōrero about any concerns, or get you sorted with a free flu immunisation.

Te Whatu Ora’s Online GP service is another awesome option for whānau with sick tamariki. You can skip the trip out and have a kōrero with a NZ-qualified doctor by video, right from home. Appointments are FREE for tamariki aged 13 and under, with subsidised appointments also available for rangatahi aged 14–17 and Community Services Card holders.

You can book an appointment through the Te Whatu Ora website.

We just wanted to send a PĪĪĪĪKI mihi out to our mates at AvaNiu Pasifika!

For the last few months, they've very generously lent our clinic crew Vera the Van, helping our team to continue doing their mahi while our usual clinic space has been unavailable. It's made a huge difference and we are so grateful for the awhi 🫶🫶
