We are a parent-led early childhood education centre for under 5's. We are located at 333 Welcome Bay Road Tauranga and welcome new families to come along for a visit. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday's 9-12pm.

💥 CRASH‼️

This week's schema in our centre is disconnecting and deconstruction.

Our tamariki will be crashing through things, tumbling towers and scattering things all around. We started off the week with boxes to push over or crash into.

Welcome back for term 3!
This term we will be exploring different schemas each week - stay tuned to see what we get up to!

This week we are exploring the trajectory schema—the joy of watching things move! 🚀

So far our tamariki have been busy rolling, throwing, dropping, launching, sliding and experimenting with how objects travel.

Through these playful experiences they're developing coordination, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of cause and effect, all while having lots of fun.

✨🌟 Matariki Celebration at Playcentre 🌟✨

What a magical evening celebrating Matariki together as a Playcentre whānau!

We came together to share some delicious kai that the tamariki had a part in making, before heading outside to gather around the fire pit. There was plenty of excitement as tamariki got to toast their own marshmallows.

In the final week of term 2 we embraced the spirit of Matariki through shared learning, creativity and kai 🍠💫

Our tamariki helped prepare veges for some homemade soup and had a great time adding them in and stirring them. Our centre smelt amazing! 😋

We also had a lot of beautiful creations made for our Matariki celebration! 🌟⭐️

With the wintery weather rolling in we have been getting a bit of use from our Chomp Saw recently 🌧

The tamariki have been choosing what creations to make and drawing them on cardboard, then carefully cutting them out with the Chomp saw 📐⚒️

We've got some creative little minds - there's been bugs, animals, planes and letters too! 🐞🦋🐅🛩
