Talofa!

This year we decided to base all our learning with the theme of “Manu” throughout all of our Pasifika Language Weeks.

For Samoa Language Week, we are celebrating the Manumea, Samoa’s national bird. The Manumea is a rare and treasured bird that is unique to Samoa and holds great cultural significance.
Our children have loved learning about the Manumea through stories, songs, art, and conversations. Exploring this beautiful bird has sparked their curiosity about Samoa’s natural environment and helped strengthen their connection to Samoan language, culture, and identity.

“Ia malu lele le Manumea” – May the Manumea continue to soar and thrive for generations to come. 🕊️🇼🇸

Halo olgeta

On Monday morning when we arrived at kindergarten we were very disappointed to discover that someone had stolen our last big bunch of bananas on our tree.

They had also hacked our taro plants and left a mess.

The children have been watching our bananas grow from flowers and were excited about finally getting to harvest them.

As you can imagine, the children are very disappointed and sad that someone has stolen this learning opportunity from them.

We are happy to help anyone who maybe struggling and in need however this is not the way to ask for help.

We ask for you our community to be our eyes and ears and support us in taking care of our place.
