🧵 Did you know we love all things sewing and mending?
Our amazing volunteers are incredibly talented when it comes to working their magic with a needle and thread. Over the past year, they've helped give a new lease on life to all sorts of well-loved items, including:
👖 Pants
👗 Dresses
🪆 Dolls
🧸 Soft toys
Whether it's a torn seam, a missing button, or a much-loved toy that's seen better days, there's a good chance we can help.
Before you throw it away, bring it along to our next Repair Café and let our volunteer repairers take a look. Every repair helps keep valuable items out of landfill and saves resources.

A big thank you to WNT Ventures for the generous and unexpected surprise donation, which enabled us to purchase a 3D scanner for Tinkd Makerspace. This versatile tool will allow makers to prototype, learn 3D modeling, and scan and repair parts as part of our Repair Café. It’s a fantastic multi-functional resource that will greatly benefit our community!
If you're interested in this cool piece of kit or want to know more about Tinkd, head over to the website and book in for a free tour. We'd love to meet you!

You'd be surprised what can be repaired. Last month alone, our volunteers worked on a singing puppet and a wooden clock as well as bringing these items back to life:
👗 A dress
🧸 A soft toy bear
🎵 An electronic singing puppet
💧 A dehumidifier
🔋 A battery refill
💡 An LED floor lamp
🕰️ An old wooden clock
🍰 A cake mixer
So, what do you have sitting around at home that might be fixed instead of being landfill-bound?
Got something broken that's too good to throw away? Good news — bookings are now open for our next Repair Café!

Sometimes we get to experiment and produce some cool personalised merch. Here's a example of some laser cut and etched branded keyring tokens for our friends at Aquinas College to take to an international event. What will you make at Tinkd?
