Get ready for 3 action-packed days of basketball skills, games, and fun at the Ōtūmoetai College Action Centre! Come for 1 day, 2 days, or everyday!

*** Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th
*** 9am – 3pm
*** $30 per day
*** Years 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9

Train with ŌTC Senior A Boys & ŌTC coaches while helping them on their journey to Regionals in Rotorua! Proceeds are also going towards ŌTC Basketball purchasing a Shooting Machine.

⚽ 1st XI Boys Football secured a massive away win over St Peter's Cambridge in their final National Qualifier match on Monday 8 June. The boys have done all they can and now await the results of MMC's remaining three fixtures. πŸ‘€

What a performance. What a team. What a season.

On Saturday our Barbarians 1st XV were crowned Sam Cane 1st XV Cup Division 2 Champions after an outstanding victory over a talented Te Taumata side.

This result was built on months of hard work, sacrifice, commitment, and belief.

To our players – thank you for representing Barbarians with pride. You have shown courage, resilience, humility, and an unwavering commitment to one another.

To our coaches, managers, whānau, supporters, and sponsors – this achievement belongs to you too. Your encouragement, guidance, and support have helped create an environment where our young men could thrive.

Championships are remembered for the scoreline.

But this team will be remembered for the way they played for each other.

On Thursday 4 June, two of our teams took on the BOPSS Adventure Racing Championships near Whakatāne, and what an incredible day it was! πŸ’ͺ

Our students tackled every challenge with determination, resilience, and outstanding teamwork, pushing themselves to the limit while supporting one another every step of the way. From navigating tough courses to overcoming physical and mental obstacles, they showed true adventure racing spirit.

A huge congratulations to our Junior Boys team, who achieved an outstanding 2nd place finish! πŸ₯ˆπŸ‘
Kieran Hutchison, Corban Tonks, Julian Light, and Jordan Wilce worked brilliantly together and were rewarded with a fantastic result against strong competition.

Not only did both teams perform exceptionally well, but they also represented our school with pride, sportsmanship, and respect throughout the event.

We are incredibly proud of their effort, attitude, and the way they embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and positivity.

πŸ‘ Six rounds into the Secondary Premier League and our 1st XI Girls Hockey team is starting to hit top gear!

Last week the girls showed incredible grit, scoring two goals in the final quarter to come from behind and defeat TGC 3-2. A never-give-up attitude that makes this team special. πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

Tonight brings another huge challenge as we take on Bethlehem College Girls 1st XI. We're currently sitting 2nd on the table, just one point ahead of BC, so this has all the ingredients of a classic showdown!
