Te Kura o Tauhara Tuakana (English Medium - Seniors):

A notice went home last week reminding whānau of our upcoming performance day (Tuesday 15th September, 3:00 pm) - please read the attached notice for your information. Important: We're performing at 3 pm, so senior students will be home late. If you will be at the Event Centre watching your child/children, please collect them from the school hall. All students will need to return to school to get changed.

It’s Taiopenga week! It's also Te Wiki o te reo Māori - whakanuia te reo Māori!!

We want to wish all our tamariki taking the stage this week the very best! We’re already so proud of your dedication, your heart, and all that hard mahi you’ve put in. We cannot wait to see you up there - you’re going to be amazing!

We understand that this week may look a little messy with all the different performances, and whānau wanting to take their tamariki down to watch. Please keep in touch with your child’s kaiako so they’re in the loop, especially if you’re taking a child offsite. Your kaiako appreciate the communication!

A couple of quick housekeeping notices for this coming week:
🩵 Correct uniform MUST be worn at all times. This can be purchased from Brand Fuel in town. Please see our lovely ladies in the office if you have any questions about the uniform.
🩵 Please remember to name all pieces of uniform so we can return any lost items.
🩵 Please remember that all gates MUST be shut behind you. There are to be no gates left open during school hours.

Wednesday this week we have our dress rehearsal performances for Taiopenga and all are welcome! Nau mai, haere mai! We will start at approximately 9.05am. If it is wet, we’ll keep you updated on whether it is going ahead or not - keep an eye on our page!

Learning Together

Tomorrow we start our week with a whakatau to welcome our visitors from the Education Review Office (ERO) who will be with us for the week.

They are visiting us to look at how well our students are learning, and to help us keep making our school the best it can be for our tamariki.
