Very proud of the 15 of my students who sat their London College of Music guitar and bass guitar exams last weekend. They achieved 7 Distinctions, 7 Merits and 1 pass.

I’ve been a member of the RGT for the past 15 years. They are the leaders in guitar education in the world. They have an excellent series of books for acoustic and electric guitars as well as bass. They offer graded exams for acoustic, electric and bass guitars as well as theory. Each year they send an examiner over here from England who visits the main centres of New Zealand and runs exams for students from Invercargill in the South up to Paihia in the North. I’m very much looking forward to having a number of students taking exams this year from Grade 1 up to Grade 6.

Really looking forward to teaching in my new studio this year. Lessons begin on Monday 10th Feb. Another very full schedule for me of existing students plus a few new ones.

What a fantastic summer! Back in Taupo tomorrow and then planning for Term 1 takes place. I’ll be putting my schedule in place and intend to start teaching in the second week of February.
