It's been a little while and we sure have been missing our frequent visits but yesturday we finally got out and about - to explore our community and spend some time at the rugby club and playground.
I think the smiles on the children's faces say it all!! 😍

With our carpentry area all stocked up the children have been busy at work making beautiful masterpieces 🔨🪵🪚

Popcorn and Stitch come to visit today!!!

The children had the opportunity to get close, gently pay, give bottles and care for them, while learning all about baby lambs.

Experiences like these support the children to develop empathy, kindness and a sence of responsibility while also encouraging curiousity and conversations about the animals. It also allows us to deepen the learning we gain from our weekly farm visits back here in the classroom at Educare Taupiri.

To wrap up Tongan Language Week ~Uike Kātoanga'i 'o e Lea Faka-Tonga today at Educare Taupiri we made Keke ‘isite - A popular Tongan favourite recommended by one of our families 😋

The children enjoyed the processes of making the delicious treat but enjoyed getting to taste them even more!! ❤🤍

With little hands busy digging, planting, watering and caring for our new plants the children are learning what it takes to help something grow all while being Kaitiaki of our space.

We are loving having the opportunity to plant more beautiful plants in our amazing natural and spacious outdoor area! If you have not seen it... come in and check it out!!
