Where was Ag Drive?
Well… a trip down memory lane! We spent two days at Parawera, a small rural area just south of Te Awamutu, on a dairy farm I used to work on around about 22 years ago!!!!

Growing Future Farmers have started a dairying section in their fantastic program, and we welcomed 7 new students, starting them off on quad bikes, 2 wheelers, and side-by-sides.

Good afternoon everyone.

I would like to take a moment of your time to announce that with the ever-increasing fuel prices these days, we at Ag Drive Training have no option other than to raise our travel costs to compinsate these expenses. We will be icreasing to $1.50 including GST per KM, which we believe is still a reasonable price.

We do realise the importance of the service we offer in coming to you to train, and how that fits in perfectly with you and your workplace, this service will not change in the slightest.

Where was Ag Drive today (yesterday, Friday)

This one warms my heart.

Te Akau School.
They have a team of their students entering the Young Farmers competition in a couple of weeks, and they have all been practicing hard. (In the primary school age group)
Pre-start checks on quad bikes, tick. Pre-start check on a tractor, tick. Fencing knots (with soft wire onto the farm trailer), tick.
This is where it all starts! This is the next generation of farmers, and thanks to the program at Te Akau School and Morgan Lilley for organising it.
