EIT Outdoor and Adventure Education The NZ Certificate in Outdoor and Adventure Education (Multi-skilled) [Level 4] programme.

The NZ Certificate in Outdoor and Adventure Education (Multi-skilled) [Level 4] programme is a full-time, one-year programme that equips you with the knowledge and skills to enter the outdoor adventure, recreation and tourism industries. As a graduate you will be competent across a range of outdoor activities and will be able to plan, prepare and safely lead outdoor activities in low-risk, low-tec

hnical outdoor environments, under supervision. You may also be eligible to apply for full registration on the New Zealand Register of Recreation Professionals (NZRRP). Subject Areas

Leadership: concepts, theories and application
Environment and sustainability
Kaitiakitanga, manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and hauora in the context of the outdoors
Four of six outdoor pursuits (subject to availability):
– Kayaking
– Rafting
– Mountain biking
– Rock climbing
– Waka ama
– Tramping and bush craft
