Indi Holland, Ella Blincoe and Fritha Matthews have had an outstanding running season so far this year!

The trio won silver in the Junior Girls 3-person team at the 2026 New Zealand Secondary Schools National Cross Country Championships in June. Then last week they won bronze in the Intermediate Girls 3 person team at the Auckland Road Race Championships!

Congratulations to all our medal winners, including swimmers Erika Fairweather and Lewis Clareburt.
Although not alumni here, we were fortunate to have Erika and Lewis attend the opening of our Sir Stephen Tindall Pool. The pair were the first to swim laps in the new facility, which opened almost one year ago.
We congratulate them on their recent medal success and wish Imogen and Eliza all the very best for tomorrow morning's final!

The North Harbour Secondary Schools College Sport Senior Competition has wrapped up for the year, capping off a highly successful season for Takapuna Grammar School badminton.

With a record 13 TGS teams entering the local competition this year, participation has reached an all-time high for the school. Crucially, that strength in numbers was matched by excellent results on the court, culminating in a clean sweep of the B Grade titles.

In a testament to the depth of talent at the school, both the boys’ and girls’ B Grade grand finals ended up being all-TGS affairs to decide the silverware.

Congratulations to both of our Premier teams and Senior Navy teams, as well as all our TGS players who took part across the different levels of the competition this term.

Outstanding results from our climbers at Round 3 of the Auckland College Climbing Series! 🧗💪

TGS had 6 climbers qualify for the finals and came away with 4 podium finishes. Congratulations to Paige Horn and Leo Goffinet, who both claimed 1st place in their divisions, while Teo Besier and Juliette Goffinet secured impressive 3rd-place finishes.

These results have propelled TGS into 1st place overall in the school standings with one round remaining.

A fantastic effort from all our climbers!
