Future School

Future School Dare to Dream with Future School, an independent community school. Imagine what the future would look like if we embraced the best there is?

Education designed for the next generation of leaders, innovators and out of the box thinkers. AGE is a school for families and students who are passionate about wellbeing for people and for the planet. We stand on the cusp of a new age of the human; a new age in innovation where we control our destiny, our society and the future of our planet. We will need a new generation of leaders who think, f

eel and act differently. We need schools that value and grow every child’s gifts, turn difficulties into strengths, celebrate those that think outside the box and empower those that dare to dream, and care enough to act. We must do this so our children are filled with purpose, and equipped with the skills they need realise their passions. Age is ready to disrupt education, because doing things the same way we have always done so is no longer viable, sustainable or even relevant for our future. We have started by selecting the best in education, then reinventing it fit for the future. AGE is the home for a radical change in education.

JH2 needs your vote!

In just 48 hours, our students took on the challenge of writing, filming and editing their very own short film for the 48Hours Film Competition.

And they’ve already had a win, with their behind the scenes photos selected as one of the top 10 entries in New Zealand! 🏆

Now, we’d love your help with the next part. Once the film goes live, following the public screening, you’ll have the chance to watch JH2’s finished film and vote for them in the "Audience Favourite Award."

If you watch our screening using the link; https://www.youtube.com/

There will be the opportunity to vote in the Audience Favorite Award, and every vote counts! Please take five minutes to watch our film and when the time comes, get behind JH2 and help us bring home the Audience Favourite Award! 🍿🎥🙌

Learning comes to life when students have the opportunity to create and collaborate, to solve real problems.

From engineering challenges and specialist arts to sewing, ePro8 and hands on projects, our students are developing their creativity, teamwork and critical thinking , extending these skills far beyond the classroom.

And that's a wrap on Term 2! ❄️

From beach adventures, library visits, sports sessions and welcoming new faces into our Future School whānau, it's been a term full of learning, growth and plenty of memorable moments.

A huge thank you to our incredible students, staff, parents and whānau for your continued support throughout the term.

As we head into the holidays and celebrate Matariki, we hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break filled with rest and reflection, with time spent with loved ones.
Mānawatia a Matariki, and we'll see you all in Term 3! 💙

Making mistakes can feel uncomfortable, but it's often where the most meaningful learning happens.

At Future School, we encourage students to ask questions, test ideas, receive feedback and keep trying, because sometimes the biggest mistake isn't getting something wrong... it's never being willing to try in the first place. Read more about it in our latest blog:

It was fantastic to see our Future School community come together for our End of Term Showcase.

Our students have worked incredibly hard throughout the term on their projects and personalised learning and we couldn't be prouder of everything they have achieved. A huge thank you to all the friends and whānau who came along to celebrate their efforts, share in their curiosity and support our students.

It's always wonderful to see our community come together to recognise their hard work 🌟🤩
