The EnviroGroup boys had a fantastic day exploring Tiritiri Matangi in beautiful winter weather conditions recently. They were very lucky to have Headmaster Mr Cooper accompanying them as he has extensive knowledge of the island and its beautiful bird inhabitants. The boys had the privilege of sighting very rare bird species such as kōkako and takahē, as well as learning about the conservation measures involved in protecting the island's precious fauna.
The EnviroGroup students now look forward to using what they have learnt to evaluate the traps used in our school for capturing introduced pest mammals.

Our Rosmini Volunteer Army and Young Vinnies boys have been hard at work packing essential food bags to support our local North Shore community. These parcels will be handed over to De Paul House this Friday to help local families who need a little extra backing right now.

Our Year 8 band, Shepherd's Pie, delivered a fantastic performance at Bandquest at the Bruce Mason Centre, performing Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, and Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

Facing high-caliber competition and an energetic crowd, the boys represented our school very well, and had a great time! A special congratulations goes to band member Richard Cook, who earned the Killer Guitarist award on the night.

Building on this awesome experience, the band is already writing original songs in preparation for a step up to Rockquest 2027. Keep up the awesome work Richard, Sam, Ashton and Nikolas!

Earlier this week, senior science students met with a group of Rosmini Old Boys to discuss career pathways and university study at the annual Science BBQ.

The visiting Old Boys shared honest advice across a broad range of fields — from aircraft maintenance and ecology to geotechnical engineering and physics. The session ended with an open Q&A where students could ask questions about life after school.
