TAURANGA MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT HELD OVER THE WEEKEND:
A huge thank you to Scott and the team at The Martial Arts Academy Tauranga for hosting us over the weekend. It was an amazing event, and you guys have an awesome gym and a great team.
We really appreciated the hospitality and the opportunity to come down and compete.
We could not be prouder of the way every one of our boys turned up.
They came into their fights in great condition, and all the fitness and hard work they had put in beforehand really showed on the day.
Every member of the Martial team put on a great performance. The boys showed skill, heart, toughness and real grit, and Sensei Daniel could not have been prouder of the way they represented Martial.
There were some tough matches, and Tauranga Martial Arts Academy definitely pushed us to our limits โ exactly what you would expect from another strong martial arts club.
Competing isn't easy, and it takes guts to get in there in front of everyone and put your training to the test. Our boys did that, and they did it extremely well.
A special mention also to our first-time fighters, Hauwai and Eklavya, who stepped into competition for the first time and handled themselves really well. That first fight is a big step, and both boys can be very proud of what they achieved.
And a massive shout-out to all of our families, supporters, Martial staff and everyone who made the trip down to Tauranga. The support around the boys was amazing and played a huge part in making the day what it was.
Honestly, we were proud of the whole Martial team. The boys deserve a massive round of applause for the way they represented themselves, their families and the gym.
Weโre already looking forward to next year. Tauranga Martial Arts Academy are looking to come up and visit us, and weโll be looking forward to returning the same hospitality when itโs our turn to host.
Well, done to everyone involved. What a great day for Martial. ๐๐ฅ
