Last term, we visited Puke Ariki Museum to learn about the geology around Makahū and wider Taranaki. The tamariki had a great time learning about Purangi and Pakohe stone, which is found in our local rivers. The below video explains why they are taonga to the local iwi, Ngāti Maru, and the significance to our school name and new logo.
