Woohoo! We placed SECOND in the local Milk Bottle Lid Challenge! 🥈🥳
A massive shoutout to our incredible school community. Together, we collected a whopping 17.67 kgs of bottle lids—which is approximately 10,000 caps saved from going to landfill!

We had a very exciting visit this morning from Michael Perrett, the Stratford District Council Waste Minimisation Education Officer. He stopped by the school to officially share the wonderful news and present our Principal, Lisa, with a Prezzy Card reward for the school! 💳🎉

Thank you so much to all the students, parents, staff and the wider community who rinsed, saved, and brought in their lids. Every single cap counted, and your amazing eco-efforts really paid off.

Yesterday, we were thrilled to welcome Olympic weightlifter Tracey Lambrechs to our school as a Duffy Role Model!

Tracey spent time inspiring our tamariki by sharing the story of her incredible athletic career. From competing on the world stage at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games to winning a bronze medal at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, she had some amazing stories about what it takes to be a champion.

Beyond the heavy lifting, Tracey spoke to our students about the power of books, perseverance, and how "It's Cool to Read and Cool to Achieve!" Our students loved hearing about her journey and seeing what can happen when you combine hard work with a love for learning.

A massive thank you to Duffy Books in Homes and to Tracey for visiting us and inspiring the next generation of Kiwi achievers! 📚🏋️‍♀️🇳🇿
