St Mary's Catholic School Rotorua

It’s great to see children playing sport.

Was it Ice Hockey or Field Hockey. Our team played very well this morning displaying great hockey skills.

Lots of celebration with shared morning teas and Interhouse chant comp and activities.

Inter-house Chalk Drawing Competition with a MacKillop theme. Winners was MacKillop House.

We celebrated the Feast Day of St Mary ‘of the cross’ MacKillop with Mass this morning.

Twelve students went over to Tauranga to represent St Mary's at the NZ Chess Federation BOP Competition yesterday.

Leon, Cooper, Yixuan and Brodie's team came 3rd overall and have qualified for Nationals, and Evin won best board player of the day!

Our students performing last night at the Pinoy Beats Raise the Roof Fundraiser last night at John Paul College. What a great celebration of talent it was. Lots of our former students performing too.

Matt was crowned our 2026 Morning Tea Top Chef. His creation was very tasty.

It was Kakano 8’s turn to impress us at assembly yesterday. Their theme was JOY.
