🤦‍♂️ A quick apology...

It turns out our page had automatic messages switched on.

So if you've liked, commented on, or interacted with a post recently and received a random message from us, that explains it!

The setting has now been turned off (only for future posts). Apparently the page was a little too keen to make friends. 😅

Have a great weekend everyone!

🔩 Final Scrap Metal Clean-Up – Help Needed!

Our scrap metal is being collected tomorrow, and Matt will be at school from 3:00pm leading the clean-up.

If you're available to lend a hand, we'd love to see you there. If you have a broom and shovel, please bring them along.

A huge thank you to Matt, Dana, Narelle, Graham, and Mike for the work they have put into this fundraiser. Their efforts have been instrumental in helping reduce Snow Camp costs for our students and are greatly appreciated.

🏐 Gaga Ball 🏐

Yesterday we had our Gaga Ball Pit installed, and the students are absolutely loving it already. A huge thank you to Bryan McFadyen for building it for us!

The Gaga Ball Pit is available for the community to use outside of school hours, so feel free to come down and give it a go. The rules are attached, and the link below is a great introduction to the game.

🏃‍♀️ Rural Cross Country 🏃‍♂️

Today our students represented the school at the Rural Cross Country and did us proud.

A big thank you to our parents for transporting and supervising.

Special congratulations to Romy Barbour, who placed 2nd in her age group, and Johnny Pedersen, who placed 4th in his age group. Both have qualified for Bay of Plenty Cross Country later this term!

📸 Friday Photos – Week 6 👇

It’s been another busy week at Ngākuru School.

A big thank you to Dana, Narelle, and especially Matt for their work setting up our scrap metal fundraiser and helping to keep it running smoothly. It's another reminder of how lucky we are to have such a supportive community willing to pitch in and help out. If you have any scrap metal to donate, there's still time to drop it off during daylight hours through to Sunday.

This week also saw our students take part in the Tri-Schools Cross Country. We were proud of the way our students gave it their all, and it was great to see so many whānau there supporting them along the way. Our morning fitness sessions also appear to be paying off, with students showing plenty of determination out on the course! A big mihi to Horohoro School for hosting a fantastic event and bringing our three schools together for a great day of competition and participation.

Have a great long weekend everyone, and we’ll see you back on Tuesday! 😊
