Kaharoa Pest Cull 2026 - Thank you! π
A huge thank you to all hunters, families, volunteers, landowners and sponsors who made this yearβs Pest Cull such a success. Together we raised over $2,000 for Kaharoa School β every dollar going straight back into resources and opportunities for our students.
885 pests removed from our local environment, including 670 possums, 45 wallabies, 89 hares, 62 rabbits, 7 magpies, 4 pigs and 8 deer. Thatβs a massive boost for our native bush and wildlife β the possums alone would have eaten around 39 tonnes of vegetation in a year.
We loved hosting you all and canβt wait for an even bigger and better event next year. Thank you for making a real difference for our school and our environment! πͺπ

Today we held a remembrance ceremony ahead of ANZAC Day tomorrow. Nine of our year 8 students led the ceremony and did an amazing job. Four students from room Kowhai, our new entrant class, placed wreaths in our remembrance garden.
Together, we took time to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country, and the importance of remembering their courage and commitment.
Lest we forget.
