Kidz World Childcare and Learning Centres

Small group music time is filled with rhythm, movement, and joyful exploration. As children experiment with instruments, they develop a sense of beat, listening skills, and an awareness of sound and tempo. Through singing, shaking, tapping, and moving together, they strengthen coordination, language development, and memory.

Music also creates a wonderful opportunity for collaboration children learn to take turns, follow cues, and contribute to a shared experience. These moments support creativity, confidence, and a growing love for expressive learning.

Kia ora, whānau! What a wonderful way to explore and write our names. Our tamariki at Maisey Place engaged in a magical, beach-inspired experience, using shells to bring each letter of their names to life. Each creation was unique—just like them. There were moments of deep focus, bursts of laughter, and a few sneaky shells that rolled away on their own adventures! This playful learning experience supported creativity, fine motor development, and growing confidence. It was beautiful to see tamariki so engaged, proud, and excited to share their shell-tastic names!
