Rotorua Community Creche & Kindergarten

The team that digs together, well, gets grubby together! One day last week we had to close due to having no power. We are developing a sensory garden, so our kaiako spent this day in the gardens digging, weeding, pulling out plants, replanting and making everything look so tidy!

Today we had a visit from Ruru the Road Safety Owl and Georgie, to talk to us about the importance of travelling in our car seats, wearing seatbelts, safety helmets on bikes and scooters and holding an adult hand to cross the road. It ended with a group hug! We are very proud of how well our tamariki sit and listen to all our visitors, they ask and answer questions and always say thank you for coming!

We are celebrating 15 amazing years service for two of our kaiako! Keri and Anna started within weeks of each other. Anna is a kaiako and our Centre Manager, our dedicated, calm and compassionate anchor who leads with her heart and is always looking for her notebook! Keri is a kaiako who brings joy and creativity with her every single day, our creative force whose laughter rings out across the playground. Our tamariki are at the heart of everything we do and we are fortunate to have such a dedicated team of kaiako, all of whom have been at Creche for many years.

Our super independent almost-two-year-olds know how to wash their hands after messy play. The water is also fun to play with!

Life is also better when you visit us at our sausage sizzle this Saturday at Pak n Save! Who can resist those BBQ scents?! $2.50 for a snag .$2 for a drink 9am to 3pm. Come and say hi...!!
