We are pleased to let you know that our new online school uniform store is now available for whānau to use.

You can access the team store by going to the KBS NZ page and clicking "Team Stores" in the drop-down icon at the top right of the site, then scroll down near the bottom and find "Whakarewarewa School"

The online store has been created to make ordering school uniforms easier and more convenient for everyone. Whānau can now view available uniform items, select sizes, and place orders online at any time.

Through the online store you will be able to:

Purchase new school uniform items
View pricing and available sizes
Order from home at a time that suits you
Receive updates regarding your order

We encourage all whānau to use the online store moving forward for uniform purchases.

⚠️ URGENT SAFETY NOTICE – Kmart “Magic Sand” Recall

Kmart has issued a recall after samples of Magic Sand were found to contain asbestos. Please read the information below carefully to help keep our school community safe.

What you need to do:

If you have this product at home, please follow the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) advice:

Stop using the product immediately.

Do not allow children to touch or play with the sand.

Place the sand in a sealed container, then double-bag it in thick plastic, seal with tape, and clearly label: “Asbestos-Contaminated Material.”

Do NOT dispose of it in household rubbish and do not vacuum it.

Contact your local council for instructions on safe disposal.

Rotorua residents can call 07 348 4199 (24 hours) or email [email protected] for guidance.

Refer to Health NZ’s clean-up and disposal instructions here: Asbestos in Sand.

Once secured, you can contact the retailer for a refund under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

For consumer advice, call MBIE on 0508 426 678.
