This week on the move program with the help of the wonderful Whaea Lily the tamariki have been challenging themselves with our obstacle challenge.

We had Reverse monkey bars (some of the more confident preschoolers were even able to keep their feet up). Pencil rolls to help with equilibrium and the inner ear, up the box then down the slide, Army crawl, onto the balance beam and then ladder jumps.

This activity not only challenged the Preschoolers gross motor, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness (to name a few) it was also a favorite of Preschool for several days. Ka pai to mahi tamariki ma!

Tamariki in the toddler room start our purple week with paint as a sensory activity.

Offering each tamaiti an opportunity to share their ideas 💡 on what is being created within their learning environment. Enhancing their mana reo as they korero and turn taking creating their work master piece.
