Rā whānau Te Kōhanga Reo ki Rotokawa 🫶🏽 39 ngā tau i tēnei rā 💟

We share with you today whakaahua of our mokopuna and kaiako from 1995-1996 💜 Tag those mokopuna e te whānau 😜

We celebrated our 39th birthday by climbing our maunga that protects our little kōhanga reo at our back doorstep yesterday morning (Pukepoto/Whakapoungākau). It was ātaahua, fog and all 🙌🏽

Mōrena e te whānau,

Just sharing this treasure of a video which was sent through to us by Aunty Suzi Heke who has been digitising some of her old VHS videos. There are lots of kanohi in this vid that are no longer with us so it truly is a gem to treasure.

It’s the Te Kōhanga Reo ki Rotokawa Christmas Party from 1987💓 It says 1989 on the YouTube link but it’s actually 1987 👍🏽

Enjoy the blast from the past 💙💛💙💛

Warning: Some of these Kohanga whanau members are now deceased. May they be resting in peace.
