🔨✨ Carpentry - Te mahi kāmura 🌿🪵
There’s something special about learning with our hands! Our tamariki have been busy exploring our carpentry area. 🧰👷♀️👷♂️ With hammers, screwdrivers, nails, wood and plenty of imagination, the children have been creating, experimenting and problem-solving together. They are developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, confidence and perseverance — all while having lots of fun! 😊
We love watching the children take on challenges, help one another and proudly say, “I did it!” ❤️
At Amazing Place Preschool, we believe children learn best when they can explore, discover, create and make their own learning meaningful through play. 🌱✨

❄️ Winter at Amazing Place Preschool ❄️
There’s something so special about winter at Amazing Place Preschool! 💜
Our tamariki have been keeping warm with cosy blankets, comfy cushions, and plenty of fresh air as they enjoy our outdoor spaces. From snuggling up with friends, sharing stories, and imaginative play, to relaxing in our cosy corners, every moment is filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.
We believe children thrive when they can enjoy the outdoors in every season. With warm blankets, caring teachers, and happy hearts, winter becomes another wonderful adventure to explore, learn, and grow together.
💖 Thank you to our amazing families for helping us keep our tamariki warm and ready for outdoor play. We love seeing their smiles shine, even on the chilliest days!

In the Bible, Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us that:
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour.” The children demonstrated the beauty of partnership, encouragement, and serving one another with patience and kindness. They were sharing ideas, listening to one another, and working toward a shared goal. Their laughter and encouragement created a strong sense of belonging and partnership.

Today, we honour you — your strength, your love, and your faithfulness. God placed something extraordinary in the heart of a mother, and we see it every day in how you care and love for your tamariki.
You are seen, you are celebrated, and you are deeply loved.

Our amazing tamariki helped care for and harvest vegetables from our garden, showing curiosity and a growing sense of responsibility. They explored the plants and worked cooperatively with others, contributing to a shared task. This learning aligns with Te Whāriki, particularly Mana Whenua (Belonging) and Mana Aotūroa (Exploration), as they connected with and investigated the natural world. They also demonstrated Christian values of stewardship and gratitude while caring for creation.

Sea Week 2026 - Our centre was buzzing with the wonder of the ocean! Shells, seaweed, and pictures of fish had transformed our space into a seaside world of discovery. Our tamariki created some beautiful art pieces inspired by the ocean. They were also learning about wonder and stewardship of creation. In Genesis 1, God looks at the seas and creatures within them and declares it good. Sea Week is a natural invitation to nurture in children a love for creation and a beginning sense of stewardship.
