I created this Kids Guitar Starter Kit to make starting guitar feel simple and achievable for young beginners.

One of the biggest things I noticed while teaching was how much confidence kids gained when they could play a song early on even with just a couple of easy chords.

So instead of focusing on lots of theory or exercises, this kit is built around simple songs, play-along tracks, and small steps that help kids feel successful from the start.

It’s also designed so parents can help, even if they’ve never played guitar themselves 🎸

This is "Space Chicken" — it's the first song almost all my young beginner guitar students learn in their very first lesson.

We go through the parts of the guitar, I show them their first two chords, and then I ask:

“Shall we play a song?”

There’s always a look of surprise — it’s the first lesson, and they’re already about to play something.

We go through "Space Chicken", and the reactions are always the same — excitement, surprise, pride… and often a quick glance toward Mum watching on.

The child’s face is beaming, and the parent usually is too.

That moment is exactly what I wanted to capture when I made the Kids Guitar Starter Kit — a simple way for kids to start playing real songs early on, without it feeling overwhelming.

After years of teaching, I wanted to create something simple, engaging, and accessible — not just for kids, but for parents and teachers guiding them along the way.
