In Rama Whetū (HB30 and HB31), we look forward to spending time with our little buddies from Homebases 13 and 14. Every second Friday, we get together to enjoy a range of activities while getting to know our new friends.

Homebase 5 and 6 have been exploring teen numbers during Numeracy time.

We looked at what makes a teen number. We had to work in small groups to put the four different representations of a teen number together, and then put the cards in order from smallest to biggest.

Look at our big smiles on our faces, we are proud of ourselves!

In Rimu zone, we have been learning about measurement with a particular focus on length, perimeter and area this week.

To help us apply our understanding of measurement, we have been doing some hands-on activities. Here are a few photos showing the beginnings of our food truck models. Stay tuned.

In Reading, Homebase 7 and 8 enjoy working on our Reading Menu. One of the activities we do at times is a passion project about a topic we are interested in. We need to include facts and interesting pictures. Here are some of the examples.
