Our Ngaruru tamariki have been bringing their wonderful ideas to life through building, designing, and imaginative play! From creating their own houses and impressive block structures to building worlds for animals and inventing new ways to use everyday resources, each creation has a story behind it. Through these shared experiences, tamariki are extending their creative thinking, exchanging ideas, and inspiring one another as their play continues to grow.

In our babes room, our tamariki have been enjoying exploring our new resources! Through climbing, discovering, and engaging with their environment, our tamariki are building confidence, curiosity, and a sense of adventure. Ka rawe, e tamariki mā!

Our new project in Whanake "Beyond Our Sky" is taking shape, with tamariki sharing their working theories on the moon, space, and how we could get to the moon.

This period of collecting their beginning working theories and ideas is so much fun!

"I look out the window with Nana and see the moon coming down"

"They have toys on the moon"

"I'll go around, up and down and then fly up to the moon like this"

Lately in Tinaku, we have been exploring the wonderful world of messy play! Our tamariki have been loving getting stuck in and exploring a variety of different textures, materials and sensory experiences. From squishing and squeezing to mixing, pouring and creating, there has been plenty of opportunity to get our hands messy and our minds curious!

Messy play encourages tamariki to explore at their own pace, using their senses to investigate how things feel, move and change. We have loved watching their curiosity grow as they experiment, make discoveries and share these experiences alongside their friends. Most importantly, we have been having lots of fun embracing the mess!

Our Ngaruru tamariki have been busy exploring a variety of

What better way to celebrate than a PJ day and a little friendly pillow fight? There was laughter, endless giggles, and smiles all around.

Our Whanake tamariki have been exploring their project "Natures Power" and the people who help us during an emergency. . . . So our clever kaiako set up a doctors provocation where tamariki took turns to assess their patients and give medical advice and treatment!
