You boost survival odds when you can spot the signs of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Knowing the difference between SCA and a heart attack is crucial. In cases where an individual is unresponsive and not breathing normally, assume it is SCA.

About 470mL of blood will be donated when giving blood. This is about seven to eight percent of the blood volume of an average adult and similar to 1.5 cans of soft drink. Plasma donors donate between 500mL–900mL of plasma, which is determined by your height and weight. 15mL of blood is also taken when giving blood or plasma for testing.
