Is your learner entered in our September CAA exams (reading, writing, and numeracy)?
We have some great resources and tutorial/workshop opportunities to help them prepare to do their personal best!
For reading and writing, we offer a tutorial every Thursday at lunchtime in H5. Check out the resources here: https://tinyurl.com/49tsvrud
For numeracy, our in-person workshops take place during lunchtime on day 2 of our timetable, and after school on Wednesdays – both in K5. Explore our numeracy resources here: https://tinyurl.com/mb33b7af

Tūturu warmly invites you to attend our upcoming whānau hui at Rolleston College, hosted by Leigh Hogg and Nicky Taylor (Tūturu Leads, Odyssey House). We have Anna Ashton, Lived Experienced Advisor from Te Whatu Ora, as our guest speaker.

The hui is in our Waiora learning space, at Te Kura Tuatahi, from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 10 September.

Our staff have been working with Selwyn secondary schools on a whole-school approach to wellbeing, with a focus on gaming and gambling. This workshop provides whānau with evidence-based information, practical tips, and strategies for having supportive conversations with their young person about gaming, gambling, and digital wellbeing. Through engaging activities, whānau will build their confidence and skills to have these important conversations and support their young person to navigate the digital world in a healthy and informed way.

We'd love to have you join us for a chat and refreshments!
You can book your free ticket online here: https://rolleston.ibdn.nz/etickets/tuturu-whanau-hui-navigating-digital-wellbeing

VOLUNTEER READER/WRITERS NEEDED!
We are seeking volunteer readers and writers to support our learners during the upcoming NCEA Literacy and Numeracy co-requisite exams and derived grade (practice) exams. Having a reader or writer helps learners who qualify for Special Assessment Conditions (SAC) perform at their best. Can you help? Or do you know someone who can help?
The role involves reading exam materials to the learner and/or writing or typing the learner’s answers.
We are looking for community members who are patient, encouraging, and able to read aloud exam texts clearly, fluently, and at a steady, accessible pace. No teaching experience is necessary – full guidance will be provided!
When: Monday 7 September to Friday 18 September (morning and afternoon sessions)
Where: Rolleston College
Volunteering for just one morning or afternoon can make a massive difference.
