Virtual Training Centre was established by Wayne Girdlestone in 2004. Wayne has been coaching athletes ranging from u16 through to Elite as well as a spectrum of masters and recreational racers. With 55 National Championship medals in the past 7 years, results are important; however, his philosophy is for his athletes to still be riding their bikes when they reach the ripe old age of a 100. is a Certified Cycling Coach through TrainingPeaks USA and is a firm believer in the benefits of training with power and heart rate. Virtual Training Centre is now based in NZ & South Africa (Waynes prev. country) one of his first Athletes Kevin Record obtained his UCI Coaching License in 2015 and has been coaching under the VTC Badge ever since.
