Day One Exams done! A big well done to all our beautiful students who sat their APDA contemporary and jazz exams today! Super proud of all the hard work put in to get to them! And a special thanks to Miss Brittany, Miss Jenna also to and Rachel for all the behind the scenes organising 🙏🏻💙👯‍♀️

Today we farewell Academy student Mia, who has trained with The Selwyn School of Dance since arriving in NZ in 2015. Mia leaves us today for Barcelona, to continue her training with Par en Dansa in their full time pre-professional training program. The SSOD faculty, students and families wish her the best of luck in this next chapter. We are so proud to send off such a dedicated and committed student. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Mia and will be following her every step of the way. We wish her every success and happiness in pursuit of her dreams! 🩰💙🥰

We're bringing class to your kitchen bench - find a makeshift barre and follow along as Ballet Master Nicholas Schultz and RNZB dancers guide you through an open class.

These pre-recorded videos are designed for ballet students with Junior, Intermediate, Advanced and Ballet for Boys on offer, but everyone is welcome to watch and try a careful move or two.

With the announced lockdown we will move all our classes to Zoom for the next 3 days. Class links will be emailed prior to class times. The timetable will remain the same as in studio classes for now. Please bear with us as we work through the email load. Very proud to announce Academy student Mia Williams has officially accepted a place in the Pre-professional ballet program at PAR En Dansa in Barcelona, beginning in August this year. Congratulations Mia, on all your hard work and dedication. We will miss you in the studio but are very excited to follow the next step in your dance journey and all your future successes 🩰💙 🌸
