Yesterday, we had our last full school assembly for Term 2! It was great to celebrate some more of our amazing tamariki with our Homegrown Hero awards. Ka pai to Madeline, Marcus, Sam, and Kelsii for your amazing accomplishments and for showing your value!

A big congratulations also goes to all our Principal Award winners.

We look forward to celebrating more of our fantastic ākonga in Term 3!

It’s great to see the diversity of sports within our kura.

A few weekends ago Evie took part in the South Island Schools Agility Championship representing Te Ahi Kaikōmako. Evie placed 1st and 2nd in the jumpers competition with her schnausers Monty and Luna. She also ran her other dog Millie in Millie’s first event ever. Ka Pai Evie!!

Well done to our Canterbury Cross Country team who ran on Wednesday at Ngā Puna Wai in cold and challenging races. It was lovely to see all the amazing attitudes of our runners after their events. Puffed but happy!

Congratulations to those who attended for the first time and those who tried to beat their placing from previous years. Some great results!
