Our team of qualified and passionate staff are supported to build relationships together with the tamariki and whānau to provide quality care in a safe, caring and fun environment. Located in the heart of Richmond, our modern purpose built centre is warm, safe and welcoming and is right across the road from Richmond Aquatic centre, a Park Playground and spacious parking. We have 3 separate rooms p

urpose-built and fully equipped for each age and stage with open access to age-appropriate resources to encourage spontaneous play and allowing our tamariki to develop and explore.

* Our centre caters for children from 3 months - 5 years with half day/full day options.
* We offer 20 hours free.
* We are open from Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 5:45pm, closed weekends and public holidays. 🫧🫧"Storytime with Sophus" today the tamariki were introduced to some funny new stories by Sophus from Tasman District Libraries. They also sang some songs and of course there were lots bubbles. 🫧 🫧

Our tamariki had fun squeezing lemons, counting seeds and taking turns to make their own ice blocks at Active Explorers Richmond. Through this experience, they developed fine motor skills, early maths, sensory awareness and social skills. 😋💛

On Friday Kori the Penguin came with Anna to talk to the tamariki about water safety. Through some fun games, songs and "Kori's Story" the tamariki learned:

🐧Always swim within an adult's reach
🐧Be actively supervised
🐧Float on you rback
🐧Always wear a life jacket on a boat
🐧Swim between the flags at the beach

Celebrating Tongan Language Week! 🇹🇴
This week, we have been celebrating Uike Lea Faka-Tonga – Tongan Language Week, embracing the beautiful Tongan language, culture and traditions.
Our tamariki have enjoyed learning a new hiva (song) about numbers, exploring different me’alea (musical instruments), and moving our bodies to the rhythm of the music.
We have also been discovering and exploring different aspects of Tongan culture, including shells, traditions and other cultural treasures.
It has been wonderful to see our tamariki showing curiosity, enthusiasm and joy as they learn about and celebrate Lea Faka-Tonga – the Tongan language. 🇹🇴❤️
