🎨💙 A Little Painting Fun! 💙🎨
Today, to reflect the rain we have had, our tamariki got creative with paint and forks. They explored different colours, textures and movements to create their own unique masterpieces. 🖌️ Painting provides such a great opportunity for creativity, sensory exploration and developing those important fine-motor skills.💙🎨✨

💧💧💧Yesterday the nursery tamariki enjoyed exploring outside. We were so lucky to have a warm and sunny day before the rain came. It was the perfect opportunity to get outdoors and engage in some hands-on water play.

The tamariki explored the water, splashed, poured, experimented, enjoying discovering how the water moved and flowed.

It was wonderful to see their curiosity, excitement and confidence as they enjoyed this shared experience together 🌞

❄️ Wasn’t yesterday such a magical day? ❄️

Another busy week in the preschool, with the finer days, there was lots of outside time exploring their gross motor skills, through scooters,action packed jumping,climbing and outdoor dance party. We have loved being able to enjoy the topped up sandpit. The tamariki here in the preschool love their sensory, messy play experience’s which always brings out big smiles and excited giggles of laughter as they mix, scoop and manipulate the ingredients. The Kaiako set up some engaging art activities which allowed the tamariki to develop and explore their artistic abilities , through dye, paint, pastels and paper cutting.

Our youngest tamariki enjoyed a simple playdough experience. 💛

With just playdough, a few wooden rollers, and cutters, they had the opportunity to squish, roll, poke, press, and explore at their own pace. By keeping the resources simple, children could focus on discovering different textures, movements, and ways to use the materials.

While they were busy having fun, they were also developing fine motor strength, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving skills, language, and perseverance. It’s a wonderful reminder that play isn’t “just playing” - it’s how children make sense of the world, build confidence, and learn every single day. 🌻

There’s nothing better than a morning spent outside! ☀️

Our under twos loved riding bikes, exploring the sandpit, and spending time with their friends. We also love that our outdoor space gives them the chance to connect and play alongside the older children in our preschool room, helping to build confidence, friendships, and a real sense of belonging.

A little reminder as the weather can be a bit cool at the moment ❄️ Please make sure your child comes with a warm jacket, a hat, and shoes so they can stay cosy while enjoying all of our outdoor adventures. ☂️
