Reminder! We are not at the Scout Hall tomorrow, our Playcentre Whānau will be at Innes Common for Balloons over Waikato 🎈🥳

See you all next Wednesday 1st April at the Scout Hall for our final session of the term 🤗

Hey Playcentre whanau, next week March 25th we’ll be going on a trip to Hamilton to see the hot air balloons!
It’s a super early start, the event starts at 7am at Innes Common.

Once the balloons are all done we’ll meet over at the Lake Playground for a play and a snack.

Bring warm clothes and food for yourself and kids.

If weather is not looking good we will do our normal session at the Scout Hall, decision will be made Tuesday night if that’s the case.

The carpentry table was a huge hit at our session last week! 🔨🪚 Tamariki safety is our top priority, see our Playcentre guidelines we follow to keep our friends safe.

Happy Monday and Happy Playcentre Messy Play Week 🫟 Last week our Tamariki enjoyed some gloop and defrosting flowers in ice ❄️

This week we are going all in with the messy play! Think sand volcanoes, soap slime, paint, Playdough and more gloop 🌋🎨✨

We are back tomorrow for our Wednesday session at the Raglan Scout Hall, 9.30-12pm to do some messy play 🎨

For children, messy play is liberating, fun and fully absorbing. Naturally curious, children show high levels of concentration and engagement as they explore with their senses, which heightens their learning experience. From a child’s perspective, messy play is magical – full of excitement and pure joy ✨💫

Wow! What a fun packed session we had yesterday 🤗🥳 Playdough was a big hit, Tamariki learn hand-eye coordination through manipulating the dough and exploring the different texture and shapes 🫟

Our train track set was enjoyed by our older Tamariki, this play builds their communication and social skills by working as team to create something awesome 🚂

Next week we are testing some Messy Play recipes 🎨 will you be joining us next Wednesday?

Last week, our Tamariki enjoyed putting their dolls to sleep by enveloping them in their warm beds and blankets 🛏️

Watching the Tamariki learn and grow through play is one of the many benefits of Playcentre! We’d love to see you and your whānau on Wednesdays at the Raglan Scout Hall 9am-12pm ☺️
