This is a rewarding role where you'll support connections, conversations, and confidence-building for families during their baby's first year.

Wakatipu Playcentre is parent-led ECE. Open Tues - Fri, 9am-12.30pm. First 3 visits are free! Email: [email protected] to book your visit!
Our centre has an outdoor play area with large sandpit, playhouse and swings. Full fitted out kitchen, large inside play area, and sleep room. Available for party hire, please email or pm for bookings. We are located next to the Wakatipu High School in Frankton, drive down their driveway and the centre is on left hand side.

Today at Wakatipu Playcentre, our tamariki got creative decorating beautiful mugs for Mother’s Day using paint pens, before carefully setting their designs in the oven to make them extra special 💐☕️
We are so grateful for all the wonderful mothers in our village who support the growth of our centre, nurture our children, and help create such a caring and connected community. Your love, time, and support mean so much!

Little hands, big learning today at Wakatipu Playcentre 💛
Our tamariki followed a recipe step by step to create their very own gingerbread men—measuring, mixing, rolling, and baking along the way.
So much more than baking, this was teamwork, creativity, and confidence in action!
We love seeing our children learn through doing (and enjoying a tasty treat at the end 🍪)
