QPS News - 19 June 2026 SUPPORTING QPS, ONE HOME AT A TIME

Dress Your Own Way Day - Supporting Dylan Yallop - Friday 26 June

Queenstown Primary School will be holding a Dress Your Own Way Day on Friday 26 June in support of a special Room 4 student, Dylan Yallop, who is currently undergoing treatment for Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

Dylan is a much-loved member of our kura, and we would like to show our support for him and his whānau during this incredibly challenging time. Students are invited to come to school dressed in clothing of their choice. We ask families to make a gold coin donation, or a donation of their choice, which can be brought to school on the day. All funds raised will be donated directly to Dylan’s GoFundMe page to help support the family.

As a school community, we believe in providing wrap-around support for our tamariki and their whānau. We encourage our QPS community to stand alongside Dylan, Vanessa, Chris, and Hayley as they navigate this journey once again.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support as we come together to show Dylan and his whānau that they are not facing this journey alone.
