You might have an inclining something's just not quite right, but you're not sure how to explain it or what you're looking for to follow up.

Tricky infant and toddler sleep isn't just about frequent wakings.

Here are some other clues their sleep might be worth exploring a bit further 🚩

You don't need to 'teach' your baby to sleep.

Each interaction of loving, nurturing care and response will slowly build their capacity to engage in sleep with a feeling of safety and reassurance πŸ’šπŸ’œ

Is it hard, especially when we feel exhausted? Of course.

That's why I'm here and waiting to hear from you πŸŒ™

An encouragement to get very curious about anyone who's telling you otherwise πŸ’œ

Sleep training and removing your attuned care was never meant to be. Science shows us this - but so do our instincts πŸ’š

Co-regulation supports so much as children grow πŸ’šπŸŒΏ Check out more info below πŸ‘‡

One of the biggest myths about children is that they should simply β€œlearn to control themselves.” But emotional regulation isn’t something children are born knowing how to do. It’s a skill that develops gradually as the brain grows, with the support of calm, connected adults.

When we understand how the developing brain works, challenging behaviour starts to make more sense. Instead of asking, β€œWhy won’t they behave?” we begin asking, β€œWhat skills are still developing, and how can I help?” That shift changes everythingβ€”for children and for the adults supporting them.

This visual explains why emotional regulation takes time, why co-regulation matters so much, and how supportive relationships literally help build the brain.

To download our Bitesize Guide tk Emotional Regulation, see the instructions on the image.

If this helped you understand your child a little better, please consider sharing it with someone else who may need this reminder today.

Baby sleep can be hard! Especially when we went in to parenthood with cots and bassinets and a plan for how we'd manage when baby slept and, surprise! You're their soft mattress while you can only think about the laundry pile and mess of a kitchen.

I hear you.

I'm also here to tell you, there is a way to support your little one and support yourself and the rest of your family in the process.

By exploring the full context of a baby's sleep - biological, relational, and environmental - I can offer attuned and personalised support.

Not a stock standard, Chat GPT formulated sleep schedule.
Nothing involving reducing your attuned and responsive care.

Mother's Day is a beautifully apt day to add my badge here as officially certified under and πŸ’– I began the certification just over a year ago with the vision of, if nothing else, clarifying my path in motherhood, sleep support and beyond.

It's grown in to so much more.

Holding space for new māmās, caregivers and parents as they navigate immense and intense life change and often uncertainty is a privilege.

Sending love to all those today who give so much of themselves, showing up often exhausted and overstimulated, and still responsive to the most important job on Earth. You are amazing πŸ’šπŸ’œ
