// Iβve been trying to get into the habit of reading a bit more. I find it hard to sit and read when there are other jobs still to be done. Iβm trying to join in on the kids absorbing reading habits and sit down with them! It's going to take a bit of practice, but I've got a few books lined up and waiting!! π€©
Any good book recommendations and helpful tips to help me get into the habit?

// There has been a lot of talk lately about the gentle art of Swedish death cleaning. Although I understand the principles, I couldn't help but pick this book up from the library. It was an easy read with a direct yet light-hearted approach to tackling your clutter.
For me, one of the key points of the book is circled in the second image. Read it over and let it sink in!
Small steps at reducing your clutter will make a big impact down the track.

// My quote of the week made me think of a lovely regular client I have. She has a goal to create a minimalism-style home. With a lot of 'stuff' to sort through whilst navigating work, children and life it is easy for the overwhelm to creep in and to get stuck!
We schedule short blocks of time to fit in with her schedule to keep making small steps toward the end goal.
Our last appointment saw us revisit the linen cupboard. Having already given the cupboard a good sort-out a while back it didn't take long to set things back into place, discuss what was and wasn't working for her, discard a few things that were no longer needed and rearrange some other items.
It was great to stop and take a minute to look at her progress: she was sitting sorting through a pile of papers (that had been stuffed into the linen cupboard out of sight!), talking aloud deciding what to keep or throw, and asking for guidance when needed. Previously this pile of paperwork was too overwhelming but having made progress in other areas of her home and gaining the skills and mindset to tackle the task at hand, she was able to whittle through the pile!
Progress can take time, but it is so worth it! π€©
