Casual Early Childhood Education Reliever
City Impact Church Childcare – Queenstown

We are a Christian Childcare Centre located in Frankton, who provide exceptional care and education to our families in our community.

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable candidates to join our casual relievers' pool. We are interested in hearing from experienced, unqualified applicants who have references for working with young children. This may also suit a Uni or School Student interested in some school holiday work (must be 17yrs old in order to apply) that has had experience working with children.

To support our friendly, professional team during staff absences we are seeking capable individuals who possess a kind and nurturing approach towards children, good communication and team working skills and the ability to be flexible and responsive.

We offer excellent working conditions including spacious, well-equipped staff facilities, enhanced teacher to child ratios and a supportive, ECE qualified and experienced management team.

As not all staff absences are planned, a willingness to receive offers of work at short notice is desirable.

To be successful in your application you will need:
· To be available as an on call reliever to work as required on any day Monday to Friday at any time between the hours of (8:00 - 5:30) (depending on the shift you are covering)
· To have experience working with children and being flexible to work across all our classroom age brackets, 3 months to 6 year olds.
· Work well in a team environment
· To be proactive and have initiative within the classroom to support the teachers in providing quality care and education for our precious children

We’re Looking for a Cook to Join Our Team here at City Impact Church Childcare!

Our lovely cook is moving on, so we’re on the lookout for another awesome person to join our team. We’re a warm, welcoming learning community, and this role is a really valued part of our centre — by our teachers, parents, and especially our tamariki!

Hours:
Monday to Friday | 6 hours a day (30 hours per week)

About the role:
You’ll be preparing and cooking meals from our planned menu, working alongside our Head Chef and teaching team, and helping keep our kitchen running smoothly and safely.

We’d love someone who:

- Enjoys working around children and being part of a busy team
- Is flexible and happy to lend a hand when needed
- Has experience cooking for large groups
- Has good time management skills
- Can complete basic admin tasks like shopping lists
- Has (or is willing to get) basic food safety training — we can help with this
- Is willing to complete a Police Vet as part of the Vulnerable Children Act requirements
