With the snow being a little thin on the ground here in New Zealand it makes now the perfect time to get the SBINZ print Manual or E Manual out along with redoing any of the E Learning modules. We are always updating and improving these and it's a great way to get' reloaded' with all teaching and riding tips.
Note, the NZSIA app is no more, or at least mothballed. Good news is that all the E Learning and E Manual content is still very much available via your favourite web browser.

Coaching Certification Pathway.
Intro to coaching seminar - 1st July. (In person, or via Zoom)
Development Coaches Certification - Park, Pipe and Freeride - 28th September.
The sessions explore the “What, Who and How” of coaching and provide practical insight that carries directly into lessons, camps, training environments, and personal development on snow. The pathway is designed for all snow sports disciplines and creates a strong bridge between instructing and athlete-focused coaching.
The on-snow component then takes these concepts into real environments, focusing on how we coach both the athlete and the terrain around them.
If you’re looking to improve your teaching, communication, movement analysis, or understanding of how people learn, this pathway is well worth exploring — regardless of where you currently sit in your instructor journey.
New dates and course information are now available through NZSIA Coaching Pathway link is the comments.

What else is new this winter Guy and Pauly?
'The Level Two Corrective Teach has had some additional rider videos added. For the last few years the corrective teach had been, for the most part, focused on freestyle. The 'pool' of potential corrective videos now includes riders turning green to blue marked terrain. '
With corrective teaching being such a fundamental part of teaching we think this will be awesome way to sharpen your teaching.

Our equipment and our students equipment are arguably the most important thing to have dialled in before a lesson.
Simple things like boots being laced correctly, bindings adjusted to fit foots along with being centred on the snowboard, a waxed and tuned snowboard with a profile that suits their ability is crucial for them to able to achieve tasks and progressions.
It may seem obvious to some and less so to others so we have a whole section in the E Manual dedicated to equipment. Head to section F for a pre winter check in on our own equipment, set ups, stances and reminders on what to check in on for students.
