From QRC student to business owner!

We’re proud to celebrate QRC graduate Rebecca Freeman and her inspiring journey from Hospitality Management into property management and entrepreneurship.

After studying at QRC, Rebecca went on to build her own Queenstown-based property management business, Tāhuna Hideaway, alongside Tahuna Letting Co. Today, she manages around 70 properties, leads an amazing team, and has created a career that gives her the freedom to work remotely, travel, and keep growing what she’s built.

Her journey is a great reminder of where practical skills, strong industry connections, and the confidence to back yourself can take you.

Talk about backing yourself 👏

A huge thank you to The Rees Hotel, Luxury Apartments and Lakeside Residences for hosting our Hospitality Management students for such a memorable evening in the True South Dining Room.

Experiences like these give students the chance to connect classroom learning with real-world hospitality while seeing firsthand the teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail behind exceptional guest experiences.

It was also fantastic to see one of our students currently on internship helping deliver the evening alongside the team, a great example of industry learning in action!

We truly appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to more opportunities like this.
