⛳️ Best of luck to all the golfers participating tomorrow in our Charity Golf Day at Jack's Point Queenstown! ⛳️

We’re looking forward to a fantastic day and would love to give a huge shout-out to all of our wonderful hole sponsors for supporting our school. We’re incredibly grateful for your generosity and for the amazing community we have around us, all helping to raise funds for a new playground.

And a very special thank you to Jack’s Point for hosting us year after year. We truly appreciate your ongoing support – this event simply wouldn’t be possible without you!

Kia ora whānau,

At Te Kura Whakatipu o Kawarau, we are deeply committed to ensuring tamariki have the best possible start to school life, and experience a positive transition from Early Childhood Education. As part of this commitment, we are considering introducing a cohort entry system for new entrant children.

We warmly invite you to join us for an open afternoon/evening to hear more about cohort entry and what it means for your child if they are starting at our school in the future. This is open for all future parents.

Please read the attached information about out community consultation sessions. We look forward to seeing you at one of these sessions.

Kia Ora Whānau – Matariki Evening
You are warmly invited to join our Kura as we come together to celebrate Matariki 2026.

Purakau Stories: From our tamariki

Kai (Dinner Sorted!): Delicious food available for purchase from our local food trucks joining us for the evening.

The Meaning of Matariki:
As we gather, we reflect on the three pillars of this special time:

Matariki Hunga Nui (Remembering our loved ones): Honoring and farewelling those who have passed away since the last rising of the stars.

Matariki Ahunga Nui (Celebrating the Present): Gathering with whānau to share kai, express gratitude for life, and enjoy our community.

Matariki Manako Nui (Looking to the Future): Setting intentions, making plans, and looking forward with hope to the year ahead.

We can't wait to see you all there and share this beautiful evening together!

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe!

A huge thank you to our school whānau and staff who supported our Pink Ribbon ‘Breakfast’ and helped us pass our $1250 goal. We love how you showed up to support us on this cold, but beautiful morning. Even the sky around Kawarau was in theme this morning!

Loved your coffee this morning? Black Lab Coffee Roasters Queenstown generously donated their beans for the occasion. Show them some love by visiting them in Country Lane Queenstown, for a cuppa, or picking up a bag to enjoy at home.

Also thanks to Dee (Miss Brockie) and Jaime (Miss Lamond) for dusting off their barista skills and keeping the cups full, and to Ainsley Rose Private Chef, for the gorgeous treats at the coffee window. Everything was delicious as always!

We didn't take many photos of our staff lunch - too busy eating! It was a great chance to sit and yarn over pizza, pasta and salad.

Didn't make it, but still want to contribute? You can donate here: https://bit.ly/kawarau_pinkribbon26
